Seeds!

We are just starting this unit on plants and seeds, but I wanted to share a few of the photos of our work as scientists with Ms. Crenshaw, our student teacher. She has planned some truly inquiry based experiences with our seeds, and we can't wait to find out what happens when our seeds are given some supportive conditions.

Last week, you all shared seeds with us from home, and we are planning to figure out how to plant everything from sunflower seeds, to avocado pits, to our cucumber seeds from lunch! We are also using our time together as readers to dig into non-fiction texts to learn more about the ways that plants grow to match our lived learning to what other scientists have found.
